iPad Can't have history and hands on split screen

I used to be able to split the screen on iPad to see history and hands at the same time. Is there a way to do this?

When iPadOS 13 came out, they made it claim to be a desktop, so web sites showed the desktop versions. They went back to the old default in iPadOS 14.
