Hi,
I am a novice director & in a recent tournament one player signed in with a robot partner, I have regularly used a robot to cover a temporary disconnect & my question is if I exclude robots in setting up the tournament can I still use them for temporary substitutions.

You can still use robots as subs even if you disable them for registrations.

Can you tell me how to put a robot in as a sub, in a tourney where robots are excluded, as I can't seem to do it.
Thanks

You click on the person/sitout you want to substitute, choose "Substitute with a selected player" (or whatever the exact text is) and then type in the name 'robot'. Then go to that table and check that robot is present and playing.

After I get a robot as a sub, can I put a human sub in place of the robot sub? Will the robot sub keep knocking the new human sub out of his/her seat? Will I need to "lock in" the human sub to stay in the seat?

You can replace the robot with a human. The robot won't try to come back.
