I use Handviewer to record played boards on video and sometimes it's many boards and set of boards.
But it's only possible to play a board by card by card or trick by trick.

So I suggest two new options to facilitate the play of boards, especially useful for video recording:

1. Play a whole deal by push of a button.
2. Play a set of boards by push of a button

The pace of the play shall be normal.

Else Handviewer is perfect for video recording.

Is it even possible trick by trick?
I get that as 'Next Trick' (with animation card by card) in the built in viewer of History, but in https://www.bridgeba...handviewer.html I only get 'Next' (card by card) unless I am missing something.

Click on Options and you can change "Advance card by card" to "Advance crick by trick".

I realized after writing the message about implementation of functions for playing a whole deal and a full set of deals automatic, video recording is not needed. For some purpose it may be needed, but then it would be much easier to produce it.

Instead I can put a handviewer link to a LIN file, e.g. on BBO, for each set of boards on my site, www.thebridgechannel.se
Now I have to record by playing trick by trick! It works but it takes time!!

Here is an example of a video I have created recently that way, Bermuda Bowl Final 1983 US Vs Italy https://www.youtube....jNW7F3kc0&t=34s

A summary of functions needed. I have made some additions:

1. Advance trick by trick until the end of deal.
2. Advance deal by deal, including 1, so a whole set of deals can be played automatic.
3. Possible to pause trick by trick function
4. Possible to stop 1 and 2.
5. Possible to set the pace for trick by trick, e.g slow or normal.

With these function implemented then Handwiever can show "real" movies.

That toggles things in the built in viewer of History (thanks) but I already had it set to "Advance trick by trick" and still only get 'Next' (card by card) if I navigate in https://www.bridgeba...handviewer.html with a browser.

Just make things clear, I mean only one push of a button for playing all the tricks in a deal.

It works in the external handviewer as well. I use it all the time.

The wording of the "Next" button doesn't change, but it either advances by a card or a trick depending on how you set the option.

Hi Barmar,

I didn't get any respons on the proposal. These functions can also be useful when only viewing, for all users!

I have implemented a temporary solution by using a mouse macro, using TinyTask. It works well, but the program Window must be allocated in the right position to fit the macro.

We don't normally respond to suggestion requests. We get many suggestions, and don't have the resources to implement most of them.

Since your purpose is to make a video to show people the play - why not just give your audience the handviewer link with your comments at particular points?
