My friends and I use Zoom so that we can talk to each other while we play on Bridge Base, but the cards are dealt so fast after each hand that we cannot discuss interesting hands. We would like a pause button. Or is there one already? We coudl then discuss the hand before going on with the next hand.

The hand you just played will be available in the history; so no need to “pause”. Also it is better because you can replay it card by card, and see the DD engine at each person’s turn.

There is a lot of material out there on BBO.
If you are new to it all I would urge you to watch this video from Peter Hollands.
It covers all the important basics in about 10 minutes.
