I remember with the old versions I could make a shortcut to just get to the logon screen and only having to click on and load one screen, plus entering my username and password, and the process only took about 45 seconds to one minute. Maybe a minute and a half tops.
Now, the process takes about four and a half minutes. First, I have to load my homepage, in my case, Google Chrome, to access my bookmarks. That alone takes three whole minutes right there. Second, I get the BBO screen, which only takes about twenty minutes to load, not bad. But, then I get the logon screen which takes about one minute to load. Total that (Three minutes for Google Chrome, twenty seconds for BBO Welcome screen, ten seconds for BBO Login Screen, and about thirty seconds for BBO.) and it's over four minutes to click on the three tabs and load the four pages. It seems it should only take about a minute and a half to two minutes, tops, to get from loading Windows, which you'd expect to take two to three minutes, to being logged on to BBO. Suggestions? Thanks!

It sounds like you have some major computer issues. Have just tested and it takes me literally 10 seconds to go from not having BBO open at all to be logged in.

From clicking Chrome to being logged in (with 33K users online) took me 11 seconds just now.
7 year old laptop with Windoze and 4MB of RAM, hardly a supercomputer.

How long does it take to get to other websites? Your modem/router may need to be reset. Turn it off for 30-60 seconds, and then turn it back on. You might also turn your computer off and on if resetting the modem/router doesn't work.

I doubt either will help much,if Windows normally takes 2-3 minutes to start. If the PC came with windows 10 (or 8) then it would be worth performing a complete reinstall. Otherwise just ditch the PC and get a new one (or a tablet if BBO is all that's needed).

But if Chrome takes several minutes to start up, there's nothing we can do to speed that up. You can't get to our page without first starting a browser.
