Cencio "opening lead Q. What expasse do you make?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Win A, cash AK and lead 9 to K
If RHO has A and returns a to your K,
then you need miracles :(
You must hope that RHO also has at least Q and A.
Lead J hoping to pin LHO's T. RHO ducks (best).
But you continue by sacrificing 8.
If the cards lie as on the left
then RHO makes 3 tricks but is end-played :)

You already received a miracle when W lead Q instead of Q :)
But good thinking.
If RHO decides not to duck the J he has no option but to continue and you still make the contract.

Cencio "Also in this hand with the diamond finesse the contract lose. One have to hope in ace of h in west."
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Cencio makes an excellent point :)
On layouts, like Cencio's or this one, If you lead a West can rise with A and switch to a :(
Against alert defenders, it seems best to win A, cash AK, and lead a , hoping that West has A.

At double-dummy, or against good defenders, it seems best to win A, cash AK, and lead a , hoping that West has A.

I am an apprentice. with this hand I just wanted to make everyone aware of the reasoning behind this hand.
