Chat to tournament by a director appearing twice for other player directors

So three of us are alternating to direct our club events, but all of us are listed as directors for each event. In today's session, I was directing and sent out messages to the tournament as normal. Most players received it once but these other 2 "player directors" received the message twice. This didn't seem to happen before the TD settings were upgraded but that may just be a coincidence. Does anyone know why this might have happened?

I have observed the same thing under the same circumstances for the past few days. No idea why this happens.

I also saw this yesterday, even when it was a regular player making a chat to tournament; two copies seen by the director even though from a different table to mine.

Even as the only director I got my own message to tournament echoed with the tournament number attached.
Only once however, so only the tournament number is new I think.

I also got an automated "This tournament uses predealt hands" (with the tournament number attached) at the start.
Immediately before my message defined at tournament creation.
I don't remember seeing that before as director, but it's useful to know it is being sent.

As far as I can recall this message about pre-dealt hands has always appeared and is also sent to the players.

However my club members still think that all the boards are pre-dealt by me, and fixed appropriately, even when the message does not appear. Their trust and faith in me is disappointing.

Are you a playing TD when this happens?

Tourney chat is sent to all the players and all the TDs. It doesn't check for overlap to prevent duplication. We'll fix this in the next update.

yes they were playing TDs as I started to "train" them cause I do not want to be the only one in our club being able to manage everything

For me it was in a team match that I was hosting and playing in.

Actually this has started happening again since the last update. I am receiving 1 chat to me without tournament number and a second headed with tournament number.

It was related to the change that makes tournament chat go to all the tourney registrants, rather than just the players in the tourney lobby.

Hasn't been done yet. Still get all tournament messages twice. Especially irksome when players are thanking me at the end of the tournament.

Sandy surely you know by now that the bridge players never listen to the directors ...so maybe now they might read one of the items if it is echoed.
Everything you type is so good that BBO types it twice ...

Just kidding ...
