Today as on three previous occasions we used the options +rounds8+ +break4+ +bduration=10+ to modify a +howell+ tournament.
Previously the break went well, despite lack of any messages and the impression that it lasted a minute or two more than specified.
This time nothing happened after 15 minutes and editing the tournament to remove the options (as suggested) did not make any difference.
In the end I had to cancel, which of course left many people unhappy.

Any ideas what went wrong?

The only difference I can think of is that this time my options were unrealistic as some people who had promised to play did not register and we had just 8 pairs at tournament start, which of course is incompatible with 8 rounds. But the tournament intelligently settled for 7 rounds of 3 boards and ran correctly until the pause at end of round 4.
