Yesterday (5/28), I played in a SMA (Mexico) Bridge game:

There were 16 tables so it was split into two 8-table sections. The
result was that my partner and I had a 57% game and came in 4th in
Section 1 EW. No one in Section 2 EW was as high as 55%. However the
two EW sections were not combined so we didn't get any MPs for our
efforts. Why are the two sections not combined for the final placing?
I've never been to a live club or tournament that did not combine
multiple sections before doing the ranking.
