I am trying to challenge a friend. Challenge is created but there is a yellow dot and it cannot be played. The only possible action is to cancel it. I don't have that problem with any other friends I want to challenge. Just this specific one.

Challenges are only automatically accepted if both of you are following the other. Otherwise you cannot start playing until the other person manually accepts the challenge. I believe the challenge has to be completed within 3 days, which is from challenge creation rather than when they accept.

My guess is this person isn't following you but the others are.
