I have been getting a number of players that are "stuck". They are there and can chat but they cannot bid or play and sometimes they can't see their cards.
Is there any way to remove/boot a player in the current browser version of the software. I have seen lots of old references to removing players but they seem to be from years ago when there were fat clients around.

Would the reseat immediately work in this scenario.

Thanks
Jennie

When they can write and read best is to tell them to logout and come back. Mostly the problem is solveed by that procedure. I think that is better than kicking someone out. When you have to do it just replace this player with a sub.

The right panel has a TD/Director tab.

in Running Tournament, click on the line of the tournament you want for a pop-up with a list of actions.

Thanks Gerardo.

A player registered with a robot in a free tourney today, and when I tried to substitute-out the robot I couldn't (error ~M29622). Can't seem to boot the robot either. Is this because I only had co-director privileges, or because it can't be done?

I understand that we could have solved it by removing "allow robots" - but that's another setting that co-directors can't change.

Thanks!

Robots cannot be subbed out at the moment. We're working on a solution to allow robot subs that can be subbed in and out by the TD.

The important thing is to be able to sub them in.
It would be nice if TD could set an option so that this happens automatically on any sitout/dropout.
Even better if the dropout could reclaim his place without TD intervention in absence of objection by the robot.

We're not adding automatic robot subs yet, but the ability to do it by hand will be there sometime this week. And if the original player comes back, they'll retake their seat at the end of the hand, similar to what happens to human subs in speedballs.

Any update on adding the feature of manual robot substitutes?

Thanks. Would there be a charge for using robots as subs?

No. It would be free and available to any tourney host, not just the pay games.

Will it also work in an individual tournament?
Robot subs would be particularly useful there, as substitutes are both more likely and more problematic than in a pairs tournament.

Excellent.
Looking forwards to tomorrow onwards.
If later on you can go the last mile and automate it, even better.

I just needed it and it wasn't there that I could see.
I had to add two human subs instead.
Maybe it needs some +......+ command string(s)?
Or there is some trick in inserting the robot sub?
I just got the usual choices and an attempt to manually substitute "sitout" with "robot" failed.

We haven't added it yet.

We'll post an announcement when it's ready for use.

Ok sorry, I remembered monday night.

Looking forwards to it - today I was 2 players short and that obliged me to make 6 substitutions, an average of 5 boards completed per sub.
2 of them were polite enough to ask to be substituted, 2 of them just disappeared.
I understand that it's a slower game than they are used to, but a robot would not have complained.

She said "aiming for Monday night". You don't always hit what you aim for.

We deployed it last night.
