Hi
4 of us were playing a casual games between us yesterday 30 April 2020 from 8PM GMT in the UK
It took multiple attempts to logon and then when we had logged on we were frequently thrown out.
It also seems we are given little inactivity time before being thrown out.
This made the game very difficult to play.
We have just started using Bridgebase and a it is great app just a shame about the current performance
It seems that with the Corona virus lockdown the number of players have soared but that maybe your servers/comms cannot cope with the extra workload.
Is this the issue and do you think you will be able to fix it?

8pm GMT is our busiest time of the day -- it's early evening in Europe, mid-afternoon in America. As a result, this is when we're most likely to get overloaded. We ran into an overload problem yesterday at this time.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Is it something you are looking to fix bearing in mind that lockdown, social distancing may continue for a while?

We're working on mitigations, but at this point the solutions are getting more difficult and will take some time.

Ok thanks
In the meantime it might useful if the busy days and times were communicated to everyone so that we could maybe try and do our own mitigation

We have the announcement that free tourneys are blocked for part of the day because of the heavy load.

I play on another bridge site also .The same happens at the busiest times for them it is what it is we are lucky to have these bridge sites for bridge players all over the world. All the clubs are shut so the influx of bridge lovers are now playing on line. I pick times when its less busy if I can unless a tourney .Enjoy

If you are playing on an iPad it will help if you extend your auto lock time. Most are set to 2minutes and if there is any delay, iPads will fall asleep and you will get logged off. Go to Settings Display and brightness and adjust the auto lock timing.
