Dropouts from BBO Forums Sunday Daylong

The number of people who finish the Sunday free BBO Forums Sunday Daylong tournament is always much smaller than the number of entrants. Yesterday was typical. The results said 2434 tables (entries) and 316 finished (places). Any idea why so few finished? For example, in a recent daily tournament, there were 12,640 tables and 11,093 finished (places).

This works differently from any other tournament - anyone who is active on the forums is automatically registered for it. Most of those won't have even seen the tournament / decided to play it.

Another tournament like this is the monthly "Royals and Masters" tournament. Everyone who qualifies is automatically registered, but many don't play.
