On the very first trick there is sometimes a long delay before the declarer plays the first card from dummy's hand. When the delay is particularly long you often discover it was because the declarer thought he was the dummy hand.
Can the dummy hand/player be highlight in some way, for example, add "(DUMMY)" to the player's title bar.

I agree that the interface is not good at telling us that we are declarer or that we should now play from dummy's hand. Some help comes from using the newer 'Pictures of cards' view in which the dummy has a grey background different from the other hands. You have to enable this from the settings button (blue with white stripes). This view has the defect that play is not always centered and the first card played to any trick is often in an ambiguous position, but you can figure out who played it by looking for the yellow bar showing who is next to play.
