Hi

When playing private matches, sometimes a player needs some more time. When this exceeds a specific time, the player is automatically replaced by a robot, or is taken over by another player.
Is there a way to prevent this?
Either prevent the time-out to happen, make the match more private, or prevent a robot or other player being allowed to take over?

Thanks in advance.

At a normal table just put

+slow+

into the table description.

What does putting +slow+ in the description do? The timeout feature is built into the code of bbo as far as I know. I too am a new user of bbo and have had the program bump a playing friend because she was too slow in responding to a bid.

This hack is supposed to increase the time before a player is booted - basically increases the timeout value without setting it to infinite.

However a better way of preventing people getting replaced is to set the table option 'Permission required to play'.
