BB$ Cost of BB$

I was charged $38 for $30 BB$. Is that customary?

This is a duplicate of a previous discussion on the board. I believe it has to do with the surcharges on the App store. You may well be better off ordering your BB$ on a computer? I'm sure someone more in the know will chime in soon.

which covered the same topic. I don't know why there are these excessive extra charges for a simple credit card transaction in the 21st century, but you should buy BB$ from a computer if you don't want to get ripped off.

I suspect Apple would probably justify it as the way they subsidize all the free apps on the App Store.
