strong 4 club opening 4 clubs indicating long club suit and big hand asking for aces

Not Gerber?

I thought 4 was always Gerber?

4 and 4 are sometimes used to show strong heart and spade preempts with 4 to 4 1/2 losers respectively.

In the Romex system, responder showed keycards if they could cover 3+ losers since you would be in the slam range if there weren't 2 quick losers.

This is a 4 club opening bid. not Gerber which is after an auction of some sort

There are some players who play an opening 4NT bid as either Blackwood or asking about specific aces. There is no auction, except maybe passes, before the 4NT bid.
