I've been using BBO to teach bridge. It's a great tool. I have some ideas for making it even better.

I would like to start new students with play of the hand -- no bidding. Students should be able to practice playing without bidding. They need *JustDeclare Solitaire* like Just Play Bridge. And, students need to assess their progress. Students need Just Declare Solitaire Matchpoints

As students advance to bidding, they can practice with Solitaire; but, they'll need Matchpoint results to assess their progress.

In both cases the hands and matchpoint results could be derived from the previous day's All Day Tournament results.

And, in both cases they'll need to review their work via Hands & Results.

I thought of just using the All Day Tournaments; but with these, the emphasis is on competition and results. For learning, the emphasis needsto be on enjoyment with assessment optional. And, it needs to be free.

What do you think?
