Noticed way back in our dealt hands series that 1C (2S*) 3C* where 2S promised clubs or reds, that 3C promised spades....which kind of makes sense being that spades is the only suit that the opponent hasn't claimed.

Would you flesh out your Suction defense a bit please? Like over 2C* showing diamonds or majors, I assume you're just playing 2D as hearts, 2H as spades, but what are 2S and 3C+? Does it all switch at 2H and higher interference?

1C (2H*) where 2H shows spades or minors
.....2S-GF hearts?
.....3C-GF clubs?
.....3D-GF diamonds?
.....3H-GF spades?

idk. I imagine there's a rule of thumb here so that you don't have to memorize stuff.

And a side question, but

1C P (1H) dbl or 1S

What does opener do over a double of 1H? What do his bids mean after RHO overcalls 1S?
