Hi
I play with european players, many Italians, who all use odd/even signals, not discards, signals, which are forbidden in ACBLand, right ?
Are those signals legal in WBF rules ?

thank you

In short, yes.

The WBF prohibits encrypted signals in its events.

Two of the NBOs which I am familiar with, namely the ACBL, and English Bridge Union, prohibit encrypted signals and dual message signals (such as odd/even). I believe they do this because they believe that most cannot play in tempo and banning these methods is easier than dealing with UI complaints when there is a potential hesitation and the signaller does not have a card of the correct parity.

My local NBO, the Scottish Bridge Union, follows the WBF regulations quite closely and only prohibits encrypted signals.

I have no idea whether they are permitted in Italy.
