Every player except me got a 2H response from GIB. I got a 3H response. Expecting a hand with 7 hearts and out, I simply raised to 4. Most of the players that got the 2H response ended up in slam. I would have also.

So why did GIB select me as the only one to get the 3H response?

Instant tourney I presume? GIB was just upgraded, so you're using a different robot.

Seems GIB doesn't play strong jump shifts here anymore. And is broken for choosing to jump with this hand.

Thanks, passed this to programmers so they check whether a bug or a feature.

The 3 bid is listed as INV. Usually this should be a strong jump shift.
It said Gib's Solway Jump shifts have been changed but I didnt see where it said how.
Has 3 been eliminated as strong?

It shouldn't have been as far as I know, but we'll see what programmers say, I gave them the hand to check it out.

Missed your post Diana by 1 minute
Maybe it a nice feature
Strong jump shifts don't make a huge amount of sense in a 2/1 context.
Limited jump shifts are all the rage, bye bye Bergen (for people who use it)

12 out of 13 times the auction ended at 3D. Only once did GIB compete to 3S, against which there was no defense. That, of course, was against me. I got 7.%. So why did GIB decide to compete against me and nobody else?

Assuming you are playing instant tournament, it's because you competed against a different version of GIB. This happens for awhile immediately following a software update until the previously played boards against previous version of GIB are retired from being included in the instants. The improved version of GIB correctly found the raise, unlucky you.

I find the robots being programmed to always win
No matter what you bid the robot always had just one more bid to screw you up; biddig 6 with nothing
Must quit this shared
