Is there a question with this?

The title is "unaccountable pass". The board given shows a pass by a robot which is unaccountable. The forum is GIB Robot Discussion.

Looks like a succinct complaint about a problem with robot bidding to me - and I believe this is the place to post those.

Duh, partner opened the bidding, South has 15 prime high card points and passes in a 3 level part score. What do you think is the problem?

We've all seen a lot worse, and it's not a violation of system.
But with a human or non-GIB robot in South most partnerships would have been in either 3NT or the moysian 4H.

I frequent GIB as little as possible and may be wrong... is it a violation of system?
Responder's reverse usually imposes a game force, but that is also often cancelled by opener's repetition of suit - I don't see anything specific in GIB system notes.

It's certainly a violation of common sense.

3 is actually a reasonable contract and maybe the sims figured that out. 3NT and 4 both require some luck.

But yes it is also possible that it is one of the "if no bid fits then pass" bugs.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

I'd certainly have bid 3NT as south, but if this was played at MPs then GIB seems to have a fair point. Just unlucky that hearts were 3-3.
