You hold QJ7xx - 9 AQJ9xxx (5=0=1=7), and I'm sorry, I don't remember the smaller spots. All white, 2nd chair bidding goes:
RHO ... you ... LHO ... pard
4♥......5♣ ...... 6♦ ...... pass
pass ??
1) How do you feel about your 5♣ bid? (Keep in mind that you don't have a convention to show two suits, ie, partner will not know that 4NT shows a two suiter)
2) what do you bid over 6♦? (You have not agreed with your partner that you are playing Lightner doubles, and while partner may know what those are, he may not realize that it is an L double, and not just penalty)
3) If you were on lead vs. 6♥ (and 7♥, if you refuse to sell to 6♥):
a ) would you be wanting to play that contract doubled?
b ) what would you lead?

1) Im stuck so 5!c looks ok
2) Pass - hard to say who can make what
3) So RHO is passing or bidding 6♥....?
I lead the A♣ against 6♥ - I'm not going to be a genius here. I assume I doubled 6♦....
Lightner doubles are standard. I've never discussed them even with a single regular partner. If pard doesn't realize this Im playing with the wrong person.

No, 6♥ happened at the other table. (at the other table, the person with LHO's hand bid 6♥).
Yes, Lightner doubles are standard, I'd assume that they're on playing with anyone with experience, but my partner is not extremely experienced. Don't you ever play with someone who's learning, to teach them? And you can't cover EVERYTHING when you start with someone inexperienced. Wouldn't it be better to cover things that come up more often?

Hmm. Are you sure Lightner applies here? LHO was under pressure and may well have bid a slam that is off two tricks. Or he may have be saving against your potential 6♣.

Anyway, it was kinda funny:
It seems that 6♣, 6♠ are untouchable, 6♦ and 6♥ can be set on the correct lead, but those weren't found at either table.
Our table results: 6♦ making 7 on a ♣ lead.
Other table results: 6♥ making 7 on the ♣A lead (bidding went 4♥ - (5♣)-6♥-all pass).
My partner and I were very surprised to actually WIN imps on this board!
Edited to correct placement of the third spade
Scoring: IMP

On the hand as you have posted, both 6C and 6S are down. You lose 1D and 1S.
Neither 6D nor 6H should make as well.

Yea, looking at the hand I posted I wondered how I thought 6S made, but talking to my partner, I had the spades wrong.
Of course, one must figure out to cross back to hand in the red suits, but that seems pretty clear.

Well 6D won't make and it will be doubled. Now it is clear to lead A S and switch to a H once partner drops the Q.
6H can only make if you start with the CA rather than a S. Interesting lead problem.
