Question is: Does his partner know?

Not a bad lie acceptable as far as normal competitive bidding. More of dumb choice where double is a much better choice which West should leave in for two down. At such a bidding situation, double should not have four hearts since you would have doubled 1NT with that.

Certainly a dumb choice.

But the general issue is, when descriptions significantly deviate from actual hand,
what meaning does the other robot infer from such bid?

What the description says?
Or same meaning that the bidder-robot apparently associated with it?

In my eyes, as a general, after 2♠ any action east take shows east have exact 12-14hcp with two suiters.
So its 15-20TPs is a thing that may happen.
Personally I would better regard this definition as 14 -17 TPs, only 18-20TPs should be a rare thing.

I have 2 questions:

• What would 2N directly over 1N have shown?

• How does South doubling 2N differ from passing?

The latter. We've been told (a long time ago) that the descriptions were added as an after-thought, maybe even by BBO staff after purchasing the original product from Ginsberg, so GIB doesn't actually know that they exist.

I know its exact answers.

First question : What would 2N directly over 1N have shown?

---

2NT says " Unusual notrumph overcall --- 5+♣,5+♦,12TPs,forcing."

Second question : How does South doubling 2N differ from passing?

---

Pass=No suit call --- 4+♥,5+♠,11+hcp,12TPs.
Double= 4+♥,5+♠,11+hcp,12-18TPs.

Then, South's second-round 2N in OP should be explained as 5+♣; 5+♦; 0-11 total points.
... Or, maybe a higher minimum total points, but still a max of 11.

I would like to suggest that there should be a more useful differentiation; maybe something like:
Pass= 4+♥,5+♠,11+hcp,12-15TPs.
Double= 4+♥,5+♠,11+hcp,16-18TPs.

Very good , I agree.
Doubling should show extra values/powers in the hand .
Passing= minimum hand
