1- Now you see 2 showing " 5+, 7-11hcp, forcing to 3N ", but north Gib pass. Basic Gib doesn't keep its promise.
2- You see north Gib hand, after responding 1, north Gib should rebid 1 to show 12-17hcp instead of reverse 2. Just saying.

Does the description say "12-17 HCP" or does it say "12-17 total points"?

As we know that HCP description often is more accurate than TPs in many situations, expecially with void in the pd's responding suit. However we have no ability to change its evaluation approach, only just reporting.

GIB is never going to rebid 1 here, since he counts his hand as 20 total points. If he rebids spades, it would be 2. It would be interesting to hear how the decision tree got him to 2. That response might also explain why North passed a forcing bid.

As I early said " As we know that HCP description often is more accurate than TPs in many situations, expecially with void in the pd's responding suit.
