The robot is run with Ginsberg's Intelligent Bridgeplayer. GIB being it's acronym.

I always thought it stood for 'Goren in a Box', but I could be wrong.

There are quite a lot of references to both, out there in the public. You may both be right, if it changed its name part way. But I have not been able to find a link that refers to both names in the same article nor to a name change.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

Originally Ginsberg wanted to call it this, but there were trademark issues, hence the name change.

That's very sad - I quite like the name.

Even though GIB's bidding system is about as closely aligned to Goren as I am to Daesh.

Meh - Goren wouldn't play Goren now either, so it's hardly a big stretch.
