puzzling bad defense

spade queen lead then shift to CA,
followed by a heart.

It was as if robot was trying to throw overtrick at me.

Classic terrible play- showing its all BS that it follows DD play- maybe if it gets zero information from the lead into its play engine then its DD directed play. Of course you misplayed, but you'd need to be psychic and guess that you actually have a spade cover by covering the queen with the king.
