Trump seems to be a balloon with a slow leak; he's getting smaller with each passing day.

You should look at the US betting markets, especially PolyMarket. Approx $100 million of bets were placed in the month of August on PolyMarket "Presidential Election Winner" market (source: news articles).

These American gamblers (mostly professional punters) are betting their real money; their collective wisdom (for what it's worth) has resulted in a bigger share of the $100 million bets being placed on a Trump victory.

And Trump's SPAC now has a market cap for $3.84B with an annual revenue of $3.785M

The world is full of very very stupid people betting lots of their money on Donald J Trump...

FWIW Elon Musk gambled he could turn 44 billion into 25 billion by buying Twitter - and he won that bet.

It's very easy to confidently assert that if RFK Jr or Tulsi or Jill or Cornel were on the Democratic Ticket, you wouldn't vote for them because ...

We all know that none of them would have ever made it to the Democratic Ticket (Jill Stein is not a member of the Dem Party)

Forget what Dem Primary voters may or may have chosen, the Dem Establishment would not have allowed such a person to represent your Holy Party.

I'm British so don't have a vote, but I'd vote for a large pile of turds ahead of Trump, it would stink less, and speak more sense.

In general I'm centrist to right, and I consider the current republicans well to the right of Farage and the Reform party. The democrats in European terms in the Biden era were right of centre, they've moved to the centre now I suspect. The perception in the US I suspect is different, but in no way are they loony left.

There probably ARE some republicans I would vote for, but the radical base won't put them forward, I hope the Conservatives here don't make the same mistake.

I'm perfectly OK with that...

RKF Jr is a heroin dealer who drove his wife to suicide.
And that's before you dive into all the COVID and autism nonsense.

Tulsi Gabbard is a second generation member of a truly odious cult.

Cornell West is allowing himself to be used by Putin to try and split the black vote and elect Trump.

A couple months back, it became painfully obvious that Joe Biden wasn't likely to win re-election.
The Democratic Party establishment forced him out...
And I was perfectly happy with this.

In much the same way, I beleive that RFK Jr, Tulsi, and West are unfit for office

And I would be thrilled to see the Democratic Party act to remove them from the ticket...

I'll note in passing that none of the aforementioned individuals actually ended up running as Democrats this cycle for any length of time...

Because, you know... they were too incompetent to be able to collect the necessary signatures and, in many cases, they were submitting fraudulent data...

The point about the "ham sandwich" was the sandwich as the Dem Nominee. You listing various other people & categorising them as unworthy of your vote was merely a way to allow you to vent about them.

My point is that none of them matter and none of them were in the picture.

The choice to all you posters was "ham sandwich" (if I recall, barmar used the analogy in a post some months ago) to which you & barmar seem to be asserting that (+ I'm guessing there would be others even if they haven't stated so) you would vote for the sandwich because it was on the DEM nomination for President of the United States.

In 2019, BoJo won a thumping majority in Parliamentary elections.

* Everyone knew Boris was delusionally self-centered, dishonest to the core, scatter-brained, and a sellout to the establishment rich class.
* In other words, a miniaturised but British-American version of Donald J Trump. (Side note: BoJo was born in the USA, so technically he can be a US citizen if he chooses).
* The similarities between these two "leaders" was also adequately highlighted by the media (esp. international media)

In other words, you had a chance to choose between a mini-Trump and a mini-Cornel West. You know who you voted for... just like I know I did not vote in that cycle.

Yes pea brain, that was readily apparent

What I was trying to point out is that there is a difference between a "ham sandwich" and "anyone who might get the Democratic nomination"

A ham sandwich does no harm (in the grand scheme of things at least)

The same can not be said RFK Jr, Tulsi and the like

Should have added my "warped world" hypothetical in my previous post. So here goes...

If, by an odd weird warped quirk of fate, the Democratic Party nominee was Cornel West (presumably the most socialist & most disorganised from that earlier list), and the Republican Party nominee was Trump, many of the regular posters here would vote for Cornel West. Something about pinching one's nose and doing the disagreeable deed.

It's irrelevant because it's hypothetical. But my guess that you would too ("because Trump") would not be far from the truth in this "warped world".

Given a choice between Trump and West, I would not vote

Given a choice between, say, John McCain or Mitt Romney and Cornell West, I'd vote for the Republican

Boris won because Corbyn was worse, ANY vaguely sensible labour leader would have beaten him

Maybe one way to ;ook at this is that the Democratic Party did not nominate RFK Jr, or Cornel West or a ham sandwich. The Republican Party did nominate Donald Trump.

IMO, the key points from your link is Net Margin (TTM = Trailing 12 months) which is negative 10,185.94% and EBITDA (TTM) (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, Amortization) which is negative $100.425 million.

Summarizing, DJT lost $100 million in the past 12 months. How does that even happen for a company that only has 36 employees and only 600K signed up to use the social media program. Somebody is getting amazingly rich from DJT stock, and it's not the average investor who bought high, and are in a position where they will be selling very low.

Of course, the Democrats would never nominate a Cornel West so that's a completely ridiculous stipulation. But yes, I would vote for an actual ham sandwich instead of Trump, and it would be an easy decision. The actual ham sandwich may not be an effective leader, but would not be a threat to American democracy, or have the risk of Trump becoming an absolute dictator.

Of course, West as president isn't nearly as ridiculous as having a psychopath like Trump become president again, since Trump is clearly showing signs of advanced dementia and lack of mental control. Also, who in Congress would support anything that West does that happens to be crazy? West could be removed either by the 25th Amendment, or by impeachment because West doesn't have cult followers in Congress. On the other hand, the QOP in Congress have shown that they are unwilling to remove Trump through impeachment even though most of them admitted that Trump committed the impeachable offenses that were charged. If anything, their complete loyalty to Trump is even stronger today.

One thing I think you are failing to acknowledge in your arguments is timing. I fully admit at this point in time I would and will gladly vote for any Democrat over any Republican. That has nothing to do with a slavish love of the Democretic party but a fear and loathing of the current version of the Republican party which has become a systemic threat to liberal democraicy here and worldwide. I do not think any reasoable person should cast a vote for a party that is fully engaged in corrupting the democratic elections and peaceful transfer of power. At this point in time my vote is not so much a vote for Democrats as it is a vote against Republicans. That is the fault of the Republican party for bowing to Trump's will.
