I made a stupid play in IMPs on 11. I could have taken my 9th trick, but I thought I could end-play JEC for an overtrick.

As N, at trick 3 would you return a ♦ or ♠?

I probably should have continued spades. My thought was that declarer must have five spades (I took your ♠3 as 4th best).
