Yeah, 3S looks about right. Bidding game is too much and passing too little.

It may depend on the scoring. At IMPs, I would probably bid 3♠. At matchpoints, probably not. Very close. GIB tends to be very agressive in this situation, so the 2♠ bid may not be as strong as I would expect. Bidding 3♠ may get us too high.

OP said that this was matchpoints, so I pass.

I sincerely apologize, but somehow I deleted the full hand and scoring.

3 Spades (my bid) went for a very bad score @ 20%. IIRC, GIB (which had its 2S bid) raises to 4, which is down 2 on a partscore hand.

Pass was a solid winner, 60%+.

It made more sense when you saw all four hands but this time, i.e. it didn't look like a fluke. You'll just have to trust me.
