No comment is probably necessary. What could be easier or more obvious than taking out this double to Clubs?
Yes, I realize that but for my unfortunate (poor if you wish) choice of opening leads, the contract would have been defeated. It still belongs in Clubs.

I played a hand recently where I got an above average score for -910 in 4♦x. All of the results were -910 except for a handful of -1110s.

OK, so best defense is down 2, one can argue about whether my 2nd bid should also be double, and who knows if reaching the slam is realistic, but leaving a takeout double with only Jxxx trumps and having a perfectly easy 2♥ with 4 trumps available? Why would it even consider leaving it in? Also it led a club so only down 1 was possible after that.
