The robot continues to respond to take-out doubles with its shorter/weaker suit. This problem predates the new version.

He doesn't deliberately bid his shorter/weaker suit; he bids the lowest mentionable suit, even if a higher one is stronger/longer. This just means that the "If/Then" condition statements are in the wrong order...
