Game all, teams, RHO dealer, the bidding goes like this:

P 1C* 1H 1S**
2H ?

* 1C = 15+ any bal (without 5cM) or 14+Cs
** Five+ spades, min is about 4HCPs

We don't play support Xes (or whatever the relevant convention here would be)

Do you bid on?

2 is clear-cut, but I say no to 3.
"It's not enough to win the tricks that belong to you. Try also for some that belong to the opponents."

"Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make them all yourself."

"One advantage of bad bidding is that you get practice at playing atrocious contracts."

I do bid 2S, but I'm tempted by pass, since I have a lot more defence against hearts than p might expect and he might well bid 3S or 4S over 3/4H expecting me to have less wastage in the heart suit.

Robson/Segal recommend pass + bid spades later on this sort of hand.

I'm not going to do that here for one simple reason: I don't know responder's strength, so it's better to show right now I have a min strong club and leave level decisions to him.

Hence, 2.
