The 3 spades here showed 3-5 spades and 17 HCP. It should show 4+ spades but should deny 17 HCP from the initial failure to super-accept. Should just be competitive and North shouldn't go.

I don't see why it wouldn't be reasonable to bid 3 with 3 spades and 17HCP. The lack of a superaccept should simply show that opener doesn't have both 4 spades and 17HCP. However, I think Barmar has told us in the past that robots know how to superaccept and understand it when partner does it, but they don't take the lack of superaccept into account anytime later in the auction.

That was one of the fixes that I was hoping for in ver 31. High frequency, not new, and easy to fix.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.
