The numbers and face card symbols that are attached to a players profile to indicate their BBO points accumulation are a curiousity to me. Are they awarded for all tournies regardless of pay or not? Can you lose them for poor play (as I seem to have done :) ) or are they a monthly thing that get reset at month end? Is there a listing somewhere of BBO points awarded that we can access?

If you log in to BBO, click Explore Bridge!, Bridge Library, English, you will be able to download a document that describes the meanings of these symbols (it is called "Award symbols on your profile" or similar).

Got this from another discussion, I think this might help.

Summary: points awarded for pay Ts only, on acbl scale, cannot be lost for poor play. They are cumulative over time, and do not get reset. The symbols in a users profile show roughly where that user stands. I will someday produce a master listing of points by user in a web page.

Thanks - that helps - I used to have a symbol and it disappeared - however I have never played in a pay tourney to my knowledge so shouldn't have had it in the first place. Course suppose someone might have paid for my entry to a paid tourney and I wasn't aware of it being such. Anyway I really liked that little 2 so I cut one out of cardboard and stick it on my monitor every time I play on BBO, for old times sake. Tomorrow maybe I will get sparkles to put on it.

Thanks Mum - how's things downunder? And thanks Uday - wasn't really that important to me - but do appreciate the service. Much rather have certified good partner symbol (not implying good player).
