For this hand,I only can get 5 tricks,down 2 if Gib E pass and let me play this hand.
The result is 4HX-2,-500 score.
It seems likely here Gib lack of bidding rules,and the subsequent process are very chaotic.
So I suggest here its basic bidding rule is that pass is a best choice after penalty double,very simple.

3NT vulnerable is better than 1NT-3X nonvul. You struck it lucky that partner had the spade fit and J. It however makes no sense to run from 3NTX.

If you have your normal opening bid you have no reason to run from a double. you don't know what partner has they could have 16 pts and your killing 1N.

only reason to pull if your sub-minimum, then you will have decent rebid cause youll have distribution, like a second 5 card suit or a 6-card suit.

running by rebidding your original 5-card suit is laughable. if that's a good spot then partner is going to lead your suit (oh forgot its GIB it wont lead your suit) and you will likely set

And declarer didn't peek (as was asked in a recent thread) and make 4♥x.
