A new week, a new chance to play vs Jec and his pros.

A few notes, in case it's not clear what's happening with these games:

- any regular BBFer is welcome to play, single, with outsider partner or with a full team. There are no restrictions, the emphasis on regular partnerships is mine, a personal thought on how we're most likely to win one of these matches. JEC doesn't care though, so if we give him 4 non-regulars it's not a problem. He wouldn't know who plays who anyway.
- there are no skill level restrictions either. Again, any team who comes to win is welcome to challenge them. I'm looking for the best of the best ofc, just because I think we have more chances to win this way, but IMO anyone who meets Inquiry's criteria for intermediate is fully qualified

So please post here if you'd like to play. I'm sorry if I gave the wrong impression that there are some strict requirements to join these matches. There aren't any, they trust us to put up a decent fight no matter what team we give them.

Ahhh the fun of being a coordinator when there are a ton of incomplete messages to resolve--
in case it helps any I can play this sat if anyone needs a partner ---it would be far better
to know sooner rather than later since we might be able to iron a few kinks out with some
practice:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

BTW though I am available I do not assign myself any "seniority" for signing
up if ANYONE has interest in playing and an even number presents itself I am
more than happy to sit on the sidelines so the line is open SIGN UP ALREADY:)

Pretty sad if even Justin can't find a partner - sigh. I suspect though it's because you're too good, Justin, and mere mortals are shy to say "hey, I'll play with you"

Not sure what to do here. If anyone wants a last minute partnership with George please post here. I shd have given the names a few hours ago. Or a regular partnership if anyone available even at such short notice. I'd hate to have to cancel again.

As I read these posts over it seems like lesh/theclown barmar/Justin
I see Justin name (except where you say he can play) nowhere but you
mention him not being able to find a partner. If my detective work is
useless and even 2 of those 4 can play you can play and you three can
draw straws to play with me. I will show up around 130 unless I read
a cancellation post here.

Barmar will play with you, gszes and your team mates will be lesh and the_clown.

If Justin has a partner of his caliber, Barry and I suppose you as well will let him play instead, but I don't feel comfortable pairing up Justin with someone randomly without his consent.

So the line-up I submitted was gszes+barmar / lesh+the_clown with the reserve that, in case Justin shows up with a partner of his choice, we'll change to justin+pd and lesh+the_clown.

If you have time to play a tourney or a few hands to agree on the basics with Barry that wd be great. It was 3AM or so when Barry told me he'll fill in so we don't have to cancel, sorry for not following up here with a clear post earlier.

At the very last minute Artk78 and guymath offered to play, so the team today is lesh + the_clown and artk78 + guymath.

Gszes graciously subbed in for the first few boards till guymath managed to get to some place with internet.
