1st: Should North bid 3C over 2H? He is risking 2H being passed out. I have no real objection to the 4C bid. But with a partial fit in both S and D, if he wants to go bidding at the 4 level I would have thought that he was worth 3C on prev round.

2nd: If East thought that 4H had a prayer of making, why does he pass 2H? If he doesn't think that it has a prayer of making, why is he sacrificing at the 4 level vulnerable against a partscore? It does this quite frequently. I don't think that he has any new information over 4C that he did not have earlier so as to suggest that 4H is now more likely to make. Personally I would not object to 3H by East on prev round, even if it does go for 800 (if we guess to smack it, which we probably don't)
