After Gib W double against my 3♥ as a splinter,my redouble is to show first control in ♥,but Gib N pass.
I have to say here lack of bidding rules.

If you weren't offering GIB the option of defending 3♥xx, why would you bid it?

He said it showed first round control. The automated explanation of the bit is strange, though: 4+ clubs and 3-card clubs at the same time.

He said, but that doesn't make it so. lycier often assumes GIB plays his system, and often gets burned. In this case, the redouble didn't show anything about hearts that 3♥ hasn't, probably threw GIB off the book, so GIB bid its default bid, pass.

Yes, if the 3♥ bid shows 4+♦ then it also shows 5+♣. But your original post doesn't come close to saying that this was your objection.

As I recall from earlier occasions when this has been raised in this forum, when you get an explanation that looks like
"4+ ♣; ...; 3-card ♣"
then the second reference to "3-card ♣" is some sort of reference to suit quality, not suit length. The first reference is suit length, not suit quality.

Old bug.
It's fixed in next v30.
Problem was that in some sequences like here, GIB was passing due issue with Redouble pass, not "realizing" it's not our suit.
Including sequence upper, another sequence on lower level as example:
1♦ - 1♥ - 1♠ - P
2♥ - X - P - P
XX - P - P?!
now Gib will look at the card and will return/bid best suit we showed fit in. Will pass redouble, but only if that's our suit.
Well, that's mainly bug for Basic GIB as its not able to simulate over a problematic call. Advanced GIB is trying to find a way to escape when get tough.
