New to Bridgebase, I made my three siblings "friends" and when i was playing with my brother last night and clicked on chat, and typed message next to his name in the chat box, i kept getting the notice: chat "permission denied." My brother is baffled, says i'm the only one online he can't chat with. (I can see all his comments to me and others).
any idea what's happening?

Hi, welcome.
If your brother was your pd, you are not allowed to make a private chat with your pd, due to obvious reasons (such as telling each other your hand, or what to play, even though we know this was not your intention of course).. If your brother is in a tournament or in a game where private chat is not allowed by the host, you as a spec are not allowed to make a private chat with your brother. However you can chat by typing to table as his pd. As a spec, it depends if teh table host set the table silent for kibs or not.
You should have no problem chatting with your brother in all other cases. Such as you are in lobby he is in lobby, you are kibbing (specting a table) he is in lobby or vice versa. Or when you both are kibbing a table or vugraph even if you are kibbing the different tables.
