1D.

You have an easy rebid, you have 12HCP, open the bidding.
Depending on your weak two style, 2D may be ok, but 1D looks normal.

Easiest 1 ever. 2is a NPAB (New Partner Asking Bid). 2nd seat vul is the worst seat to preempt in and this suit is awful and with 8 HCP outside of it and the hand is a 1 opener for many even if the Q were the 2.

My second choice is pass. Which there's a case for (although I wouldn't do it).

Bidding went 1 - 1 - P - 2* AP, partner had Jxxxx Qxx Q xxxx and you get +90
If I opened 2 LHO overcalls 2, all pass for -140ish.
If I pass the bidding goes 1 - P - 1NT - P or 2 - 2 AP for, again, -140

It's odd that they let you play in 2 with more than half the deck and an 8 card fit they'd already mentioned.

I think he screwed the pooch when he posted the auction (he really opened 1?). I'll bet it went 1 - 1 ; 2 - All Pass

In this case of Vulnerability and second seat,I think the opener would better promise two quick tricks ,so I never open this hand , and pass .
