According to GIB's explanations, 2♠ is a reverse, increasing your minimum strength from 12 total points to 19 total points.
Ok. I do not normally count a kingleton as 3 points, esp. in oppo suit, but I thought that GIB did - just did not also add shortage points. Whatever, I am close to expected values, and given how far away we are from making 4H, my question re. the sense of sacrificing against a 4 level partscore stands. Even if I had a reverse+, would it really expect 4H to make? LOTT? OK North can expect a better Club fit than at the point of bidding 1H, but even so ... he HAS made a non-forced response to 1C, and he has got only a 7 card H fit.
