I wish it would invite with 8 HCP more often. I seldom pass a 2N invite for this reason. At least when I have my 1N opener.

same am I,so I will bid up to game with most of GIB invitational hand,never consider more.

I think the possibility of a 4-4 heart game and the 5431 distribution are the factors that push GIB to invite on 8 HCP. As far as always accepting a 2NT invitation when you have your bid, that depends on how well you play the dummy and how good the opponents are relative to your declarer play. On this particular hand, 3NT is a bad contract, and even with a very lucky lie in clubs, should go down against competent defense.

Things is not like that,without aggressive, without a good harvest.
Now here is second invitation hand with 8hcp I have ever played.
I have 14hcp and two of ten,so I aggressively open 1nt ,and then GIB bid 2nt to invite 3nt ! How do you think of it? pass? no,don't worried,bid up to 3nt,and make it ! This is a good strategy I found.

What version of GIB are you playing against? Presumably you see that a heart switch or opening lead easily beats 3NT.
