MP, best hand South.

I wasn't even a passed hand. Sure it doesn't explicitly say that it is forcing, but neither does the explanation place an upper limit on my hand strength in the description. What is it doing passing?
I expect that that 2C overcall made it feel rather sick about the quality of its opening bid in retrospect, but it does have 3 Hearts instead.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

Wow. That is one of the worst bugs that I have seen reported.

Scored 46.8%. Very easy to get to the 5 level. At least I went plus.

I went back and had a look at this to see what others did.
A narrow majority just bid a pedestrian 4H on the first round, which worked on this hand, North passing. Yuch!

But one declarer made 2 overtricks! LOL!

Watch out for that 10. "Key play", as they say in bridge article jargon. This wasn't an Instant Tourney, so this is the current pro GIB we are talking about here.

EDIT - just realised. He was playing for his partner to ruff it, while he still had the Club entry for a second ruff. Makes sense now, given the explanation of 3C
Anyway I have learned something about GIBberish system here. With 5+ Hearts and 4+ Diamonds you are expected to cue raise Diamonds before introducing your Hearts.
