Depends on the meaning of dbl. I think you have to pass here. If you bid 2S, pd will take it as a good raise of club.

Depends on your agreements, but usually it's not natural. If you want to bid s natural, then you should pass first and bid afterwards when partner Doubles or bids something.

if bid Dbl, then rebid 2 in confusion
1 1 Dbl Pass
2 Pass 2 =?

if Pass, maybe there have a 4, when 1 phyche
1 1 Pass Pass
Pass/bid

when playing precision maybe there have a slam:
1 1 Pass Pass
Dbl Pass ?

How to handle them ?

In precision, you can play 2S as natural to cater for possible psych. This is what Hamman does I tihnk.

When I played precision, the cue bid was a distributional positive with a 2 or 3 suiter; either s/v in their suit.

A jump cue was natural, exposing a psyche and promising at least 6. This hand is a good candidate.

depends on the system... with us the cue shows <3 controls, +6 points, and 5/5 in other two suits (i think heheh - i might need to read that part again)

Fly you misread this - he is playing a system similar to Polish Club. Typically big Clubbers or PC players use this cue to show a hand for values for game with no 4OM and no stopper. (You could Rubensohl on this if you play that). In your auction, I would pass and wait for a reopening X depending on vul. Vul vs not I would pass and bid 3S over the X to expose the psyche.

Am I? What is the best countermeasure if playing polish club against the 1S overcall by the way?

I tend to think Hamman's way to handle it is good one, i.e. cuebid is natural. There are not many hands you cannot cope without cue. If you want pd to bid NT, start with dbl will do the job.

Not to play the cue at the cheapest level as natural unless they are specifically playing that the overcall has a non natural meaning. If you play it as "natural over supposedly natural" you are paying off to the psychers every timeAs I stated most PC players play it as a general gf.

in polish club 2=GF Cue seem good for like
1 1 2 3/4
when Dbl not GF. Open often is flat or suit

in precision maybe the Hamman's is a good one, but also some trouble like:
1 1 Dbl 3/4
Pass = forcing? or we need forcing pass here?

another question:
1 1 Dbl Pass
2 = ?

Any good suggestion ?

When I played precision I passed and then cuebid with a gameforcing hand and long spades (5+). I can see how the direct cuebid could be used to clear up things immediately, but this seems more useful for other hands. Also, by passing first you may pick up a juicy penalty.

Of course, playing "natural" I'd definely pass.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

My preferred method:

Michael's Cuebid: 5-5 in + minor, invitational or better
2NT: same story, 5-5 minors

With this hand you pass.

I doubt RHO is psyching, it's just too dangerous, since "the Law" partner will just raise you and down you go. Now if 1 is Holo (IIRC overcall in or 4+longer minor) : 2 is natural and not forcing just like all other suit bids.
