Also, I don't understand why South's second double should be forcing (the explanation is truncated in the reproduction above, but at the table it included forcing in the description). Sure, this North should remove it, and does so, for a successful result, but I don't think that he should be required to. Otherwise it just gives East carte blanche to bid 3
