BBO should offer two gaming sites, one for beginners and intermediates ("clubs & diamonds") and one for advanced and experts ("hearts & spades"), that would be restricted to the aforementioned player levels. The former would provide a more relaxed user atmosphere for beginners and intermediates to discuss bridge-related issues and take their time playing their hands, whereas, the latter would provide a more accelerated atmosphere for discussion and the play of the hands.

There are certainly experts who play very slowly, thinking about all the possibilities every time it is their turn to take action, and there are certainly lower-level players who prefer to play fast. There are teaching rooms, a Beginner/Intermediate Lounge, and a Relaxed Bridge Club to accommodate your suggestions.

I've moved this thread from BBO Forum Events to Suggestions for the Software. Maybe the OP misclicked (they're right next to each other)?

Hi John,
Isn't that what the different clubs are for? E.g. Relaxed Bridge Club, BILies Retreat...
The host just adds +slow+ to the table description to give players more time.

If you're in one of the bridge clubs, I don't think you need to add +slow+ -- we only do the slow player check in the Main Bridge Club.
