Countless times I make a normal bid without checking the description only to see GIB
lose "his" mind and later find out the I've shown 33 HCP or some such nonsense.

This was a recent example.
(2S)-3H-(4S)-5H-6H-7H

After making a NF 3H bid, GIB played me for a 28 count and raised to 7
(still didn't have his raise but ...).

Seems prudent to either remove the possibility of 28+ hands or at least remove
them after a NF call has been made.

I think you're talking for windows version GIB ( that's v21. from 5.2.21 label at the top ). You can use it at table in MBC/RBC likely.

However it's fixed since v23. So it won't be encountered in web version or tourney robots.
