MP, robot tourney, best hand South

A "bonus" hand, in that it comes from the same tourney as the "Part 1" thread posted a few moments ago.

To be fair to the robots, East played the hand quite well to collect the overtrick. But as usual the bidding's the thing.

I made a rare lapse by failing to mouse over the 4D bid before doubling 4H. It did not occur to me that the bid could be anything other than a choice of places to play. But then at MP I probably should be doubling anyway. If 4H is making I am not going to be collecting many matchpoints whether I double or not. But if it is failing and we are making a Spade partial, the double may be necessary.

4D is described as a cue bid. We have a 3-4-3-3 10-count opposite a passed hand. Partner left us in a partscore on the previous round and now we feel compelled to cue bid??

So another nice sandbag by the bots. I could have left them in 2H. CHO could have left them in 3H. But no, we have to push them into a cold 4H.

As I say in the header. Completely outclassed.
