As you can tell I've been reading Eddie's books. This came up on my iBridge programme on my iPad and I reckon it would appear in one of his books.

Its probably on the easy side for this forum but a bit tough for B/I. I'm sure it will get moved if appropriate.

I went down and still cant see one without opps cooperating but I think its a good hand for practice.

I tried Diamonds first in case I could make 3 with the 4th Diamond (4♠ + 4♣ + 3♦ +1♥). It also meant I could end in dummy if clubs didn't break for the Heart finesse as a last resort. (4♠ + 2♥ 2♦ + 4♣

I suppose running the clubs first gives West a chance to discard a diamond but that seems unlikely.

Surely we have to try diamonds first? And the best line is to lead towards the KJ and hope West has the A? Double-dummy we lead toward the Q and drop the A on an obligatory finesse?
At least that's how I see it but I am no expert.

First try if diamonds are 3-3. Assuming RHO wins the DA and leads a heart back to put you to test immediately, you have to play the HA, cash 2 diamond winners (and if they don't break) the 3 spade winners throwing a diamond and heart and hoping to squeeze either opponent who has the HK and 5+ clubs. And finally try the clubs. If RHO doesn't switch to a heart or LHO wins the DA, you have some other options including finessing the HK if clubs and diamonds both don't work.
